What a brilliant product. Absolutely highly recommended.
We have bought one for our 5th baby, and I WISH I had had an ERGO for our first! I remember struggling with a fiery burning in my back and shoulders while carrying my first in a carrier/sling. The ERGO is quite remarkable, and I have not had any burning or pain while carrying our little guy.
The ERGO feels just like carrying your baby in your arms in front of you, except you have both hands free.
And the back carry is so simple and comfortable. Our baby is SO content like that!
My husband prefers the back carry, and from the front looks like he just has a backpack on....but for the two little feet peeping around his waist! He chooses the ERGO above our framed outdoor baby carrier now, and that one remains in the shed when we go on family walks!
I must also mention the hood...ingenious!
It keeps the baby's head from flopping back when asleep.
It can be used as a cover when nursing in the ERGO. (I loosen the shoulder straps and have nursed while on a walk! My husband couldn't believe it!)
And the hood is a wind/sun/rain shield. So often I wished I had brought something extra for the baby when the weather turned, but now the hood fills that need! I have used it in light rain on a walk, and as protection from wind on the beach.
The pocket on the baby's back is also so handy for your keys and a pacifier etc. I use it all the time.
My husband and I agree that the ERGO has already more than paid for itself in the convenience it has given us. And we have only had it for a month and a half!
People have commented on how comfortable and happy the baby looks. I know he is, and so are we!
