This game was a great success with the 3, 4 & 6 year-olds we were on holiday with this summer, with the 6-year-olds coming back to it day after day. They enjoyed playing the standard game and then went on to make their own variations by experimenting with modifications to the rules. As a parent I really enjoyed watching the kids collaborate to achieve their shared goal of getting the little creatures safely home before Max the Cat could catch them. An added bonus was that the shorter attention spans of the younger kids was no problem to the flow of the game. They would play for a while & when they had had enough they would move away & the others could keep on playing with no disruption. It's even a good game for one player on his/her own! The construction of the board and pieces are good quality. I thoroughly recommend this game.
